Day 1. St. Petersburg – Sortavala

Day 2. Sortavala – Valaam – Sortavala

09:00 Trip along Lake Ladoga by Meteor hovercraft to Valaam Island (1 hour)
10:00 General sightseeing tour of the Central Manor of the Valaam Monastery. Visiting the magnificent Cathedral of the Transfiguration where the relics of Sergius and Herman of Valaam, the founders of the monastery, are laid to rest.
13:00 Lunch in the refectory
13:30 Tour of Skete Of St. Nicholas, one of the most beautiful Valaam sketes. The guests can see the newly renovated church in the name of Nicholas the Wonderworker, snow-white cell facility, apple orchard, a massive memorial granite cross, and a small hut of the former monastery customhouse
15:00 Leaving the island
16:00 Arrival to Sortavala

Day 3. Sortavala – Ruskeala – Sortavala

Trip to Ruskeala by own car with German speaking guide (about 30 km)
The Ruskeala Park is one of the most amazing places in North Ladoga region. Its most popular tourist attraction is Marble Canyon, a mining monument dated back to the end of the 18th and beginning of the 20th century and put on the Russian Federation Heritage List in 1998. There are no other monuments in Europe such as the monument which looks like a hand-made “bowl” found in the marble solid, cut through by mine, gallery and entry systems.
Tour of the Park includes 2 km 200 m walking trail.
Lunch in the restaurante of Ruskeala park
Departure to the hotel. Free time.

Day 4. Sortavala – Kinerma – Petrozavodsk (262 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. 
Meeting with the guide.
The trip continues to the historic Karelian village of Kinerma. 
The historical village of Kinerma is a unique monument of wooden architecture of Livvik Karelians and a living example of the traditional settlement in Karelia. It is noteworthy that the village is one of the few natural open-air museums, representing the main trends in the development of folk architecture in southwest Karelia of XIX-XX centuries. 
Guided tour of the village and lunch at the Karelian house. The journey continues to Petrozavodsk.
Traditional russian lunch. 
Arrival in Petrozavodsk in the evening.

Day 5. Petrozavodsk – Kizhi – Petrozavodsk

Breakfast at the hotel
09:15 Departure to the port by own car. German speaking guide goes to the port with the group.
10:15 By boat to Kizhi island (about 1 hour 15 minutes) 
11:45 Arrival on the island.
Excursion of the main exposition. Visiting Church of the Resurrection of Lazarus, Chapel of the Archangel Michael.
15:45 By boat to Petrozavodsk
17:15 Arrival to Petrozavodsk
